1959 Cadillac
No Reserve · Matador Red · Shark fins · White top · Power everything
Bid history
The apex of the American tailfin era, this 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible in Matador Red over white leather is a masterpiece of 1950s design excess. Powered by the 390 cubic-inch V8 with triple two-barrel carburetors. The power convertible top operates flawlessly, and all other power accessories — windows, seat, antenna — function. Period-correct Eldo wire wheels. The chrome trim pieces and iconic dual bullet taillights are all intact. This car draws a crowd wherever it goes.
Frame-off restoration completed in 2016. Convertible top replaced in 2021. All chrome re-plated during restoration. Odometer reads zero after restoration — the car is estimated to have about 3,000 post-restoration miles.
